Product Description

Three-panel 2-sided brochure from 1981 for the ferry cruises from New Bedford Massachusetts to Vineyard Haven on Martha's Vineyard aboard the 450 passenger ferry M/V Schamonchi (operated by Cape Island Express Lines).

The brochure includes 1981 seasonal sailing schedules from May 14 to October 14, passenger fares, directions, a photo of the ship, a short description of the ship and Martha's Vineyard.  There is also info on New Bedford Harbor Tours aboard the M/V Whaling City.

The brochure is in excellent condition.

The M/V Schamonchi  was built in 1978 and sailed to the Vineyard until 2003 when it was sold.  The ship was last seen in 2022 rusting in the polluted Newtown Creek off of the East River between Brooklyn and Queens where it had been used for parties and raves since arriving in New York in 2005.
